BY ORDER OF THE PEAKY BLINDERS!
The festival took place over the weekend in Birmingham Digbeth, the area of the city centre closely associated with the historical gang, and saw performances from Primal Scream, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, Anna Calvi and Liam Gallagher.
Billed by organisers as an “immersive re-creation of the Peaky Blinders world”, other activities included staged bare-knuckle fights, a Gypsy enclosure with painted caravans, swing bands, a cast Q&A featuring Sam Neill (Major Campbell), Paul Anderson (Arthur Shelby) and Kate Phillips (Linda Shelby).
Staging Services were ordered to provide a branded catwalk with trussing, stage set and full fashion show lighting and AV production, within the festival retail space, for the official Peaky Blinders tailoring line, Garrison Tailors.
Garrison Tailors is the home of the official clothing from Peaky Blinders writer Steven Knight and over the two days Staging Services delivered two shows that highlighted the Peaky Blinders clothing range, along with Q&A sessions with Steve Knight in person.
We’re glad to say that all crew involved survived the wrath of the Peaky Blinders and have lived to tell the tale - and we certainly won’t mind being ordered into doing next year’s festival.
If you need support with a forthcoming fashion show then feel free to drop us the 'order' - you may also like to check out the new Peaky Blinders party theming ideas's on our new Theming Services Website www.themingservices.com
